The life of 55-year-old André has come to a standstill. He fills his days with redecorating a neglected roadside cafe. His routine existence is thrown into turmoil when he catches homeless teenager Thierry in an attempted burglary. André attacks the boy, but when he has cooled down, he allows Thierry to tell him his life story. Touched by it, André takes the boy under his wing. Together, they go in search of Thierry’s family.

In his third feature film, Ghent filmmaker Peter Monsaert tells a simple story about the impact a single meeting can have on a person’s life. Two men who have nothing in common are brought together by fate. Together, they free themselves from their troubled past. Monsaert made the film as a reaction to the increasing polarization in society. In the leading roles, we see Belgian star actor Koen De Bouw and the young talent Noa Tambwe Kabati.
