The Alchemy of Alejandro Jodorowsky

The 50th anniversary and accompanying re-release of the cult classic The Holy Mountain is the perfect occasion for a program devoted to the work of underground filmmaker, actor, comic book writer, tarot card reader, psychotherapist, mystic and provocateur Alejandro Jodorowsky. In addition to his two best-known films – El Topo (1970) and The Holy Mountain (1973) – Lumière will also screen Jodorowsky’s debut Fando Y Lis (1968), a film rarely shown in Dutch cinemas.
